The 350 small block was a beast to work on, but with over 100 hours of labor, it's finally breathing easy again after its rebuild. Spent the last day of the weekend tucking away those long pipes, now the exhaust note should be just as sweet as I envisioned. Swapped the old 5.0 for a rebuilt V8 with 20,000 miles on the rebuild job, can't wait to see the power difference. New mill engine in, coolant system flushed and bled - all systems go for the rebuild of my project car now. Swapped out worn bearings, replaced the main seals, and rebuilt the PCV system – she's singing like a well-tuned engine now. Pulled off those old catbacks and swapped them out for a new set from a reputable shop, the sound is already noticeably better than before. Swapped out the old engine with a rebuilt '68 small block, fresh internals and a reworked valve job. Now the engine purrs like a kitten on gasoline. Rebuilt a 383 stroker with a custom crankshaft and forged pistons, running low 6000 rpm now with only 1000 miles on the rebuilt engine. +4 más Finally got the engine in last night after 40 hours of labor, can't wait to get her running on fresh fuel. The block was a beast to clean out but worth it. Rebuilt the 350 small block, swapped it into the 67 coupe, and got on the road again – now just need to fine-tune the idle. 450 hours later, the big block is back in, running smooth on a sea of Castrol R, ready for some serious power tuning. Finally got the new diff installed and had to redo the rear crossmember, some extra work but worth it for that 10% gain in traction. Just spent the last four days stripping, cleaning, and reassembling my engine, and now everything is bolted in and waiting for the rebuild to begin. Swapped out the old gen 1 block for a new, heavily modified gen 2 unit, can't wait to see the power numbers pop. Still need to swap in the new heads and valve train.
