I've updated my build specs to reflect the correct torque specs for the camshaft swap, now listed as 275 lb-ft at 4,800 rpm. Swapped out the old head gasket, installed a new set of pistons and rings, and got the engine purring like a kitten again after 200 hours of labor. Replaced primary suspension springs with aftermarket units providing improved handling and stability without increasing overall weight of the vehicle. Rebuilt the 5.7L V8 with fresh pistons, rings, and bearings, now waiting for reassembly and testing before hitting the road. Updated engine specs with correct torque spec of 450 lb-ft at 4,000 rpm instead of 420 lb-ft as previously reported. Rebuilt my old stroker with a new crankshaft, rod bolts, and pistons; can't wait to see how power gains translate on the dyno. Just finished reconfiguring my camshaft setup to optimize power output, resulting in a significant 10 horsepower gain over the original spec. +2 de plus Finally finished the rebuild, ran a few laps to break her in and she's purring like a kitten - just need to get the suspension sorted now. I've updated my engine swap to include a new timing belt, which now reads 65k miles instead of 60k on my build log. Swapped out the ancient head gasket for a brand new ones, feeling much better about the engine's longevity now that it's replaced.
