The 350 small block was a beast to work on, but with over 100 hours of labor, it's finally breathing easy again after its rebuild. The rebuild was smoother than expected, with only a few minor setbacks that cost me an extra hour or so of labor. +2 de plus The catback system sounds amazing and the 3" tip exhaust pipe adds just enough rumble to wake up my morning coffee crew. Swapped out my stock gears with a set of stronger, lighter units that should give me some nice gains in the hills. +1 de plus Swapped out the old GM mill for a 350 small block, took about 4 days of intense labor to get her running smooth. +3 de plus Swapped out stock axles with heavier ones from a donor car, now we're seeing some real traction and improved handling in the twisties. Spent the last day of the weekend tucking away those long pipes, now the exhaust note should be just as sweet as I envisioned. The block was a beast to clean out but worth it. Rebuilt the 350 small block, swapped it into the 67 coupe, and got on the road again – now just need to fine-tune the idle. 450 hours later, the big block is back in, running smooth on a sea of Castrol R, ready for some serious power tuning. Finally got the new diff installed and had to redo the rear crossmember, some extra work but worth it for that 10% gain in traction. Just spent the last four days stripping, cleaning, and reassembling my engine, and now everything is bolted in and waiting for the rebuild to begin. Swapped out the old gen 1 block for a new, heavily modified gen 2 unit, can't wait to see the power numbers pop. Still need to swap in the new heads and valve train.
