The rebuilt block and fresh pistons are looking good, still gotta get everything dialed in for the next track day. Swapped out the internal components, flushed the cooling system, and she's good to go for a long night of dyno tuning tomorrow evening. New engine sounds great, still gotta fine-tune the ecu to get the power I want without spiking temps too high. New short block and internals should bring around 50 horsepower, which will help me shave off some time on the track. New internals have given me a noticeable 5 horsepower gain, enough to make my track toys grin. After three weekends of digging through old factory manuals, the motor is reborn with a new short block and ported pistons. Replaced old muffler with a custom made unit, sounds great and frees up a ton of power to the diff.
