Community Guidelines

Effective date: May 1, 2026 Last updated: May 1, 2026

The short version

RedlineX is built for serious car people who document real work. Show up authentic, respect the people here, and let your builds speak. There's no algorithm to game and no shortcut to buy — the judges are the community.

These guidelines are part of our Terms of Service.

1. What RedlineX is for

RedlineX is structured documentation for real vehicle builds — the cars, the work, the parts, the timeline, the evidence. It's closer to a build log than a highlight reel. Everything here works best when it's genuine: your vehicles, your work, your photos, your story.

2. The community decides what rises

This is the core of RedlineX, so we'll say it plainly:

There is no black-box algorithm deciding what's good. The judges are the people — real builders who can tell the difference between documented work and a content grab. Genuine builds earn RESPECT, FIRE, and follows, and that real engagement is what gives them reach.

So when someone uploads low-quality content, duplicates, reposts, stolen photos, or AI-generated spam, it doesn't need a moderator to disappear. It gets seen for what it is and it sinks. The community will know. Reach on RedlineX is earned, not faked.

To be clear and honest about how this works:

  • We don't secretly boost low-effort content, and you can't buy your way into looking authentic. The only paid placement on RedlineX is clearly labeled as "promoted."
  • The feed favors recent activity and genuine community signals — not pay-to-win, not engagement bait.
  • Some content (stolen photos, AI-generated spam) doesn't just lose reach — it also breaks the rules below and can be removed or actioned. Community judgment and our enforcement work together, not against each other.

3. Be authentic

  • Post your own work and your own media. Don't pass off someone else's vehicle, build, or photos as yours.
  • No stolen or misattributed photos. Credit where content isn't originally yours and you have the right to share it.
  • No AI-generated spam. Don't flood RedlineX with AI-generated images or text passed off as real work. (Using AI tools honestly as part of documenting real work is fine — faking the work is not.)
  • No duplicates or reposts designed to farm engagement.
  • Don't manipulate engagement — no fake reactions, follows, votes, or reviews, and no coordinated inauthentic behavior.

4. Respect other people

  • No harassment, bullying, threats, or targeted abuse.
  • No hate speech or attacks based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, sex, gender, sexual orientation, or other protected characteristics.
  • No doxxing or sharing others' private information.
  • Disagree about builds all you want — keep it about the work, not the person.

5. Prohibited content and conduct

Don't post or do the following:

  • Illegal content or anything that facilitates clearly illegal or dangerous acts.
  • Sexual content, nudity, or sexualization of minors (zero tolerance — reported to authorities where required).
  • Graphic violence or content that glorifies harm.
  • IP infringement — content that violates copyrights, trademarks, or other rights (see the DMCA process in the Terms).
  • Dangerous-modification facilitation — instructions or promotion of modifications that are clearly illegal or unsafe where prohibited.
  • Spam, scams, and malware — including phishing, fraud, and deceptive links.
  • Privacy violations — posting others' personal information without consent.

6. Marketplace and business conduct

  • List accurately. Don't misrepresent vehicles, parts, services, prices, or availability.
  • Don't post counterfeit or stolen goods.
  • Honor your representations to other users. Remember RedlineX is not a party to transactions (see the Terms).
  • Business accounts (Garage, Dealer, Parts Shop) must follow the same standards, plus any verification requirements.

7. Reporting

If you see something that breaks these guidelines, report it. Reports go to our moderation team and feed our review process. You can report content, profiles, listings, and messages from within the app. Don't abuse the report system with false or retaliatory reports.

8. How we enforce

Community judgment handles most low-effort content on its own (§2). For content and behavior that break these guidelines, we also take action. Depending on severity, history, and context, we may:

  1. Warn — notify you and explain the issue.
  2. Remove or limit content — take down or restrict the offending content.
  3. Suspend — temporarily restrict your account or features.
  4. Ban — permanently remove your account for serious or repeated violations.

Severe violations (e.g., child sexual content, credible threats, clear illegal activity) can result in immediate removal and a permanent ban, and may be reported to authorities. We use a mix of community reports, automated tooling (including image moderation), and human review.

9. Appeals

If you believe we made a mistake, you can appeal an enforcement decision through the app or by contacting support@redlinex.app. We'll review and respond.

10. Changes

We may update these guidelines as the community grows. Material changes will be announced in-app. Continued use means you accept the updated guidelines.

Questions or reports you can't file in-app: support@redlinex.app.
