Terms of Service

The short version

  • RedlineX is a platform for documenting real vehicle builds and work.
  • You must be 16 or older to use it.
  • You own your content. You give us a limited license to host and display it so the Service works. We don't use it to train AI models.
  • Be authentic and follow our Community Guidelines.
  • Paid plans (Pro, Business) renew automatically until you cancel.
  • RedlineX is not a party to marketplace transactions between users.
  • US users: §15 requires arbitration and waives class actions, with a 30-day opt-out. EU consumers are exempt.
  • These terms are governed by Delaware law.

By using RedlineX, you agree to these Terms.

1. Who we are and what these terms cover

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and RedlineX LLC ("RedlineX", "we", "us"), a Delaware limited liability company at [PRINCIPAL ADDRESS]. They govern your use of the RedlineX website, web app, and mobile apps (the "Service"). Our Privacy Policy, Community Guidelines, and Cookie Policy are part of these Terms.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use RedlineX. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement and have the legal capacity to enter these Terms. The Service is not available to anyone barred from using it under applicable law.

3. Your account

  • You sign in through our authentication provider. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity under your account.
  • Provide accurate information and keep it current.
  • Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use at support@redlinex.app.
  • You may not share, sell, or transfer your account, or impersonate others.

4. Acceptable use

You agree to follow our Community Guidelines. Among other things, you must not:

  • post fake, stolen, duplicated, AI-generated-spam, or misleading content;
  • harass, threaten, or harm others, or post hateful or illegal content;
  • infringe anyone's intellectual property or privacy;
  • spam, or manipulate engagement (fake reactions, follows, votes, or reviews);
  • scrape, reverse-engineer, overload, or interfere with the Service or its security; or
  • use the Service for anything unlawful or for facilitating clearly dangerous or illegal vehicle modifications.

We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

5. Your content and the license you grant us

You own the content you create — your vehicles, work logs, photos, stories, comments, and listings ("Your Content").

To operate the Service, you grant RedlineX a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable, and transferable license to host, store, reproduce, display, adapt (for formatting/resizing), and distribute Your Content solely for the purpose of providing, securing, and promoting the Service consistent with your visibility settings. This license ends when you delete Your Content or your account, except (a) for content others have shared/saved, (b) for residual backups for a limited period, and (c) where retention is legally required.

We do not use Your Content to train AI models. AI features process content to respond to you, as described in the Privacy Policy.

You represent that you have the rights to post Your Content and that it does not violate these Terms or anyone's rights.

6. Content visibility and feed

You control whether content is public or private through your settings. Public content may be seen by anyone. The feed surfaces content based on recency and genuine community engagement; we do not secretly boost low-effort content. The only paid placement is clearly labeled as promoted (see §8).

7. Business accounts (Garage, Dealer, Parts Shop)

Business features require an eligible subscription and, where indicated, a verified identity. If you operate a business entity, you represent that you are authorized to do so and that your business information is accurate. Verification badges indicate a verification step was completed; they are not an endorsement or guarantee by RedlineX.

8. Subscriptions, billing, and promoted placement

  • Plans. RedlineX offers a Free plan and paid plans (e.g., Pro and Business), plus optional promoted listings. Current prices and features are shown in the app.
  • Payments. Payments are processed by our payment processor. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges.
  • Auto-renewal. Paid plans renew automatically for the same period at the then-current price until you cancel. You can cancel anytime; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
  • Price changes. We may change prices with advance notice; changes apply to the next billing period.
  • Refunds. Except where required by law (including EU/UK consumer withdrawal rights), payments are non-refundable.
  • Taxes. Prices may exclude applicable taxes, which you are responsible for.

9. Marketplace disclaimer

RedlineX lets users and businesses list vehicles, parts, and services. RedlineX is not a party to, and does not guarantee, any transaction between users or between a user and a business. We do not verify the quality, legality, safety, or accuracy of listings beyond any stated verification step. You transact at your own risk and are responsible for complying with applicable laws.

10. Intellectual property (ours)

The Service itself — software, design, trademarks, logos, and branding — belongs to RedlineX or its licensors and is protected by law. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for its intended purpose. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works of the Service except as allowed by law.

11. Copyright and DMCA

We respect intellectual property rights and respond to valid notices of infringement. If you believe content on RedlineX infringes your copyright, send a notice to dmca@redlinex.app including the information required by the DMCA (17 U.S.C. §512). We may remove infringing content and terminate repeat infringers. You may submit a counter-notice if your content was removed in error.

12. Third-party services

The Service relies on and links to third-party providers (listed in our Sub-processors document). Your use of those services is subject to their terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services.

13. Termination

  • By you. You may stop using the Service and delete your account anytime in Settings → Privacy.
  • By us. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or the Community Guidelines, if required by law, or to protect the Service or its users. Where reasonable and lawful, we will provide notice.
  • Effect. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (e.g., content license limitations, disclaimers, limitation of liability, dispute resolution) will survive.

14. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

  • "As is." The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that AI outputs or catalog data are accurate.
  • Mechanical disclaimer. RedlineX is a documentation and community platform, not a source of professional mechanical, engineering, or safety advice. Do not rely on content or AI outputs for safety-critical decisions.
  • Limitation of liability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, RedlineX will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or USD $100.
  • Carve-outs. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions; these limitations apply only to the extent permitted by law. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law (including certain EU/UK consumer rights).

15. Dispute resolution (US users) — arbitration and class-action waiver

Applies to users in the United States. EU/UK consumers are exempt and may bring claims in their local courts under local law.

Please read this section carefully — it affects how disputes are resolved.

  • Informal resolution first. Before filing anything, contact legal@redlinex.app and give us 30 days to resolve the dispute.
  • Binding arbitration. If we can't resolve it, you and RedlineX agree to resolve disputes by binding individual arbitration, not in court, except you may bring qualifying claims in small-claims court.
  • Class-action waiver. Disputes will be resolved individually; you and RedlineX waive the right to participate in a class, collective, or representative action.
  • 30-day opt-out. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by emailing legal@redlinex.app within 30 days of first accepting these Terms, stating your name and that you opt out of arbitration.
  • Arbitration rules and venue. [ARBITRATION PROVIDER / RULES / SEAT].

16. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Subject to §15, disputes not subject to arbitration will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Delaware. If you are an EU/UK consumer, you benefit from the mandatory protections of your country of residence, and nothing here deprives you of them.

17. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms. If changes are material, we will provide notice (for example, in-app or by email) before they take effect. Your continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms. If you don't agree, stop using the Service.

18. Miscellaneous

  • Entire agreement. These Terms (with the documents they reference) are the entire agreement between you and RedlineX.
  • Severability. If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
  • No waiver. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.
  • Assignment. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
  • Language. The English version of these Terms is the controlling version; translations are provided for convenience only.
