Rechecked and recalculated the engine's crankshaft bearing preload to 25 lb-ft from 20 lb-ft for improved bearing longevity.

Smoked out my old 350 small block to a 383, added some performance cams and it's now making a nice 420 horsepower.

Just updated my engine management system to version 2.1 with improved tuning that yielded a significant boost in horsepower numbers.

It was a beast of a job, but the exhaust sound on startup is music to my ears, and the temps are down significantly since installation.

Swapped out the stock axles for custom ones with 3.5:1 gearing, took a few extra hours to get the driveshaft aligned just right.

Woke up to a newfound appreciation for my old engine today, after nearly 40 hours of brutal labor to get it swapped out and painted.

Had to tear down my old engine block to inspect for any hidden issues, surprisingly found a few decent scores on the internals.

Finally got the interior painted after a month of sanding and priming, can't wait to get back on the road with my newly refreshed ride.

After four days of sweating and swearing, the exhaust system is finally bolted up and the bike sounds like a beast again.

Swapped out the worn piston rings for a set of brand-new ones, feeling like a weight's been lifted off my shoulders. The engine now purrs smoothly like a well-oiled machine.

Rechecked my rear differential ratio and confirmed it's now at 3.73:1 instead of 3.66, as calculated from the new gear set.

Had to replace those nasty stock injectors with some decent aftermarket ones, looks like a million bucks now that they're in.

Had to break down a few components, but the new engine runs smoother than the old one, 120 horsepower now. Replacing the timing belt was a real pain though.

Got the new engine bedded in last night, still waiting on the transmission to arrive for final installation. Fingers crossed everything goes smoothly this time around.

Swapped out the ancient motor for a rebuilt 5.0L, now running like a top after a weekend of tweaking and tuning.

Bored with my current 2JZ engine, so I'm swapping it out for a trusty RB26DETT - time to bring this build back to life.

Rechecked my camshaft specs and found the manufacturer's website lists the lift as 11.8mm vs the build log reading 12.2mm.
